Arcadia meets the Netherlands. Follow the waymarks.
The mountainous heart of the Peloponnese — the certified Menalon Trail, stone-built villages, farm-to-table gastronomy — coming to your office, and to one Arcadian evening in Utrecht.
Just a stone’s throw from the coast, yet an entirely different world.
The Arcadia Hospitality Network brings together guesthouses, farms, artisans and activity providers across the mountains at the heart of the Peloponnese. Our vision is slow and adventure tourism that works twelve months a year — walking, cycling, food and villages, which is precisely what the Dutch traveller goes looking for.

“Et in Arcadia ego”
For five centuries, poets and painters — from Virgil to Poussin — have used Arcadia as shorthand for the pastoral paradise: shepherds, springs, unhurried time. Your clients already know the word. What they don’t know is that it is a real place — a province of fir forests, gorges and stone villages in the heart of the Peloponnese, where the myth of Pan was born. We live there. Come and meet it.

Arcadia Trails — and first pick on two new routes
75 km of certified Leading Quality Trail — the Menalon Trail, the first in Greece — linking Stemnitsa, Dimitsana and the Lousios Gorge with its cliff-hanging Prodromou Monastery. Alongside it we are shaping two new routes with the local communities: Parnon (mountain to sea) and Lykaion (walking through myth). Early partners get first pick of stages, accommodation and logistics.
Ready-made, commissionable itineraries
Ready-made journeys, built with the people who live them — and, just as easily, tailor-made: tell us your dates, pace and interests and we shape the itinerary around your clients. One contact, a full regional supply chain, trade rates for operators.
- The Great City, Slow Roads — Megalopolis, gravel and quiet backroads with our partners the Megalopolis Gravel Classic · 4–5 days
- Slow Menalon — the certified Menalon Trail on foot, village to village: Vytina, Dimitsana and the fir line · 3–4 days
- The Makers’ Table — the wineries of Mantinia, an Arcadian breakfast of hyper-local produce, the cheese artisans · 3 days
The 100% Arcadian Breakfast
Fir and vanilla honey with Protected Designation of Origin, traditional trachanas and hand-made hylopites, crisp PDO Pilafa apples from the Tegea valley. Guests eat exactly what the region grows, cooked unhurriedly by the very people who harvested it — from the field to the table, with the shortest possible footprint.
Myth, stone, and absolute solitude
Stand where the ancients believed the world began. Ancient Lycosura — hailed by Pausanias as the oldest city on earth — and the monumental Ancient Theatre of Megalopolis rest quietly in the landscape, entirely free of tour-bus crowds.
Stone villages, living crafts
Stemnitsa’s silversmithing school, Dimitsana’s gunpowder mills and open-air water-power museum, Karytaina’s Frankish castle above the Alfeios. Villages built of grey limestone, still inhabited, still working.
Year-round product
Hiking and gastronomy in autumn and spring, snowshoe and fireside winters, gorge walks and festivals in summer. No shoulder season — just seasons.
